Update

IT has been an entire year since i even looked at this thing. I am not the best blogger. So. whats new?

Lets see. For starters Ben and I are still going strong 2 years on Friday.  Last year was one of the hardest years of my life.  We fought constantly and things, by all rights, should have ended very badly.  But we stuck it out and here we are.  We still have our issues, but you know- who doesn't?  He has stayed with me through everything. I cannot even fathom where I would be without him. He just moved in with his brother. I am so proud of him. One of our major topics for an argument was about his parents and their ridiculous rules while living at home.  I realize it is really hard for me to put his self in his shoes because my parents were never really the need-to-know-where-you-are-at-all-times kind of people. Yes, they did ask that I let them know a little about where I was,  but if I didn't tell them it wasn't that big of a deal. His parents are very sweet and they mean well but it got really hard. But again, we made it through and things are good now.

What else? I still work at The Lots, as does Chani. She is turning into one of my best friends and I need that right now.  Taylor will always be my best friend. We have been through more together than anyone will ever know. But, because of reasons he isn't ready to share with me yet, we have been on and off of speaking term for the last year.  Part of the reason is (what I think it is at least) my relationship with Ben.  He is sad that it is no longer just he and I.  But I love him and always will and things will work out, they always do.

Chani is the sister I should have had all along. She is one of the people in my life I can trust and turn to and I know will always be there. I could have never imagined we would have become such good friends. We almost share a brain. We are both dumb blondes and its only worse when we are together. She kinda brought me out of my shell when we started working together.  I would probably never have met Ben had it not been for her and for that I will be forever grateful for threatening me with my life if I didn't go to her birthday dinner. My family has pretty much adopted her as a second daughter and sister. She fits in perfect.

There is the update on the important people in my life. So as I mentioned before, Ben moved into his own place and I am slowly integrating myself in with him.  It has only been three days and it is so much harder that I ever expected to not live at home. I think one of the hardest parts is not seeing my parents.  My mom is one of my best friends,  It was a long time coming and we still have out normal mother-daughter issues, but I honestly don't think I could do it with out her.  I just don't like not seeing my mom and dad everyday.  I know I am not fully out yet but it is still incredibly hard.

This may sound incredibly dumb but I think the hardest part about starting to move out is not always having Sara there.  Leaving her home is one of the worst things in the world. Today she ran into the yard and up to the fence as I was leaving and gave a look that just screamed " please don't go!". I cried all the way to Bens house.  She know I am moving. I can see it in her eyes.  And though I know that she needs to be there, it is all I can do to not turn the truck around and go back and get her every time. She is my dog.  She looks to me for safety and comfort. and I cant help but feel that I am abandoning her.  I love her though and because of that she stays in a home that she knows. A home that I promised would be her forever home and forever family and to up root her life and bring her to a new home and a new life and a new family would be incredibly selfish.

So I am really starting to realize that growing up is incredibly hard and I really don't like this necessary change.  But that is life and, whether I am ready or not I have to do it.

New Edition

                                                               This is Sara.
Schnoxie

Meet a Schnoxie. For those of you who are not up to date with your designer dogs, a Schnoxie is a Mini Schnauzer/ Dachshund mix. She has the body of a Dachshund and the coat of a Schnauzer,  She is 5 months old and one big bundle of energy. Imagine Tramp from Lady and the Tramp only on a smaller scale, and you have Sara.  I have only had her for a day and a half and already it feels like I have had her forever.
December Started out horribly. The First week my dog Pixie went from 90 mph energy to nothing.  She dropped almost all of her weight and would not eat.  We found out that she contracted a massive infection that attacked her kidneys, causing her diabetes to flare up and her thyroid to cease to exist.  Had it not been for my boyfriend Ben waiting on her hand a foot for two das, I really don't think she would have lasted as long as she did.  She passed December  the 8th.  Letting her go was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced, and within two hours, my grandmas Pyrenees, Bo passed.  They were almost the same age, and part of me believes they planned it this way.

I had to work the next day and when I got home I couldn't get out of my car.  I didn't want to be home. I didn't want to walk in and not see her standing at the top o the stairs, little tail wagging, waiting to go outside.   Anyone who has lost a pet knows the emptiness I felt. The weeks past and I had my  first Christmas in ten years without a dog to help me unwrap my presents, to buy toys and treats to fill a stocking for.  So I decided I needed a dog.  I decided that my family needed that unconditional love back in our house.

                                                                            I found Sara.

She is full of personality and I live her so much already.  She is everything we need and want in a dog. Her coat looks like "Someone spilled cheese down her back" as my older brother puts it. and she has a full natural mo-hawk down her back and on top of her head. It is adorable and I wouldn't change one thing about her.

It begins.

So I am laying here in my room with nothing to do and I think to myself   "what the hell. Lets make a blog".  So after almost two hours of figuring things out here it is. My very first post and I am realizing I have absolutely no idea how to be a blogger.  I know it really isn't rocket science but I have never been to great at writing things down.   So, If anyone decides they want to follow this, congratulations.  You have just read the first of (possibly) many posts.  Anyway. I have nothing to talk about just yet so let me give you an an idea of who I am.
